About Me

Hello! I'm Reena Arabella Palero, LMSW, SIFI — a behavioral health clinician dedicated to supporting youth and families.

I am a New York-based social worker dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families across school and community settings.

My work centers on youth mental health, culturally responsive care, and supporting first-generation and diverse communities. I'm especially passionate about helping young people navigate identity, resilience, and belonging in environments that can be challenging or unfamiliar.

  • MSW, Columbia University — Advanced Clinical Practice
  • B.S. Social Work, Mount Saint Mary's University — Summa Cum Laude

My academic training at Columbia University shaped my foundation in clinical practice, emphasizing health, mental health, and disability support. Before that, my undergraduate studies at Mount Saint Mary's University strengthened my passion for community-centered social work.

Throughout my professional journey, I've worked in school settings, nonprofit organizations, and community programs — providing counseling, conducting psychosocial assessments, collaborating with educators, and offering crisis support. I strive to create spaces where young people feel seen, understood, and supported.

I'm also certified in the Seminar in Practicum Instruction (SIFI) and have had the privilege of supervising MSW and BSW interns. Mentorship is something I take to heart; I love helping emerging social workers grow in confidence, skill, and compassion.

Every day, I'm motivated by the possibility of making a positive impact — one student, one family, and one conversation at a time.
