In my current role, I support children and adolescents through behavioral health services in community and school-connected settings. My work includes counseling and support, psychosocial assessment, and collaboration with families and other professionals to promote youth well-being.

IMW Supervisor & School Social Worker

I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation

As a School Social Worker, I provided one-on-one and group counseling to assigned youth using evidence-based interventions and culturally sensitive therapeutic approaches for Bronx-based and Brooklyn-based schools. I collaborated and communicated with partnered schools and school officials while supervising and managing Social Work interns. In my IMW Supervisor role, I supervised and supported an Integrative Mental Wellness (IMW) mental health service team, including Social Workers, Social Work Interns, Therapists, and Social Work Contractors, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

I am certified in the Seminar in Practicum Instruction (SIFI) and have supervised MSW and BSW Social Work interns, offering guidance on clinical skills, professional development, and reflective practice. My training also includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT Web 2.0) and a Motivational Interviewing Skills-Based Lab, which inform my work with youth and families.

During my training, I completed internships and student roles that deepened my experience in school and community settings. At Goddard Riverside Community Center and Bay Ridge Center I supported Social Work services in community-based programs. At Columbia University's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion I assisted with equity-focused initiatives within the School of Social Work. At Mount Saint Mary's University I worked with the Department of Social Work and contributed to research projects examining the experiences of college students, including Asian American students.
