What I Do
As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Social Work Field Instructor (SIFI), my professional focus centers on supporting children, adolescents, and families through school-based and community-based behavioral health services. I primarily work in New York City schools and community programs, helping young people navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges.
My practice is grounded in evidence-based interventions, culturally responsive care, and a strengths-based approach. I aim to create spaces where young people and their families feel seen, heard, and supported, and I value collaboration with caregivers, educators, and community partners.
Areas of Focus
- Behavioral Health Support with Youth: Providing one-on-one and group counseling to children and adolescents, helping them build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and navigate challenges at school and at home.
- School-Based Social Work: Working in Bronx- and Brooklyn-based schools to support students' social and emotional needs, respond to crises, and collaborate with school staff to promote student well-being.
- Family Collaboration and Support: Partnering with parents and caregivers to share updates, strengthen communication, explore strategies for support at home, and connect with helpful school and community resources.
- Training and Supervising Social Work Interns: Mentoring MSW and BSW Social Work interns through field placements, offering guidance on clinical skills, reflective practice, and professional development.
- Community- and Equity-Focused Work: Drawing on experience in community organizations and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to support youth and families within their school and community contexts.
